Sushi Making

I wanted to make sushi so  this is how I did it.
First I placed a piece of seaweed on the sushi mat. Then put rice on top and a line of cucumber.
then I added avocado. You can choose any filling but I chose avocado and cucumber.
This is the hard bit. Using the sushi mat you have to roll it.  With a drop of water try and stick it together.
This is the finishing touch. The pot of brown liquid is soy sauce. It is for dipping the sushi in.

an after school snack

This is no ordinary snack, they are delicious cakes. These cakes are from a fancy restaurant called the Ritz. The biscuits are macaroons with a salted caramel filling. The dark rectangles are cakes with 4 layers. Their flavour is quite rich chocolate. lastly the white rectangles are white chocolate with 3 layers. They're my favourite.

Birthday Cake

Guess what? It was finally my birthday! This is the cake I had: it was a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. My dad made it; it was fluffy in the middle and creamy on the top.

Isn't the sparkler pretty?

Humos and Pitta

This is a picture of humus and pitta bread. Humus is a vegetable dip made of chick peas and olive oil. This humus is red because it's topped with paprika. As well as its great presentation, I think it tastes delicious too. This particular dish is served in Cafe 79 in Primrose Hill but you can be served humus and pitta in many cafes.

Fish and Chips

On Lisson Grove there is a restaurant called Seashell. I'm sure you can tell by the name but it sells fish and chips. There is something very strange about me. Can you guess what it is? I DON'T LIKE CHIPS. But I love this restaurant because the mashed potato there is amazing. The breadcrumbs on the cod fish make it so crunchy and delicious.

The Great British Bake Off

If you do like my blog and cooking at home, then try and watch the Great British Bake Off.
This programme is a competition for people that like to cook. They bake pastry and biscuits and of course cake. Then, the food is judged.
If you are child and you are not such an experienced cook you should try watching the junior Bake Off.
This is  exactly the same show except the cooks are children.

Poached Eggs

This is a piece of toast. A very boring breakfast. How can I make it more interesting?

maybe add a slice of cheese. That is a bit better but, it still isn't very interesting.

This looks much more interesting. It's a poached egg! This breakfast looks delicious and gives you lots of energy.

This is what it looks like when the egg has been cut open. Doesn't it look tasty?

The Cheese Plate

Whitstable is a town by the sea in England. It has a lovely cheese shop called the Cheese Box. Cheese is one of my favourite foods. On this cheese plate there is blue cheese, cheddar cheese, smelly cheese and crackers. The cheese I enjoy most is Red Leicester. I usually have it with a poached egg.

American Pancakes

It is a tradition that every weekend my family have American pancakes for breakfast. I usually have smoked salmon with cottage cheese on my pancakes but, I didn't really want something savoury that day. I preferred  a sweeter topping, so I had lemon, sugar and raspberries instead.

Japanese food

Japanese food is not just about sushi, it's about perfection too. Japanese food is one of my favourites. As well as avocado rolls I also like salmon Teriyaki. The sushi places I recommend are Yo Sushi and Cafe Japan.
Japanese chefs think that style is just as important as substance.

Victoria sponges

For a family occasion  I made a Victoria sponge. Unfortunately we had run out of jam and jam is very important for the sandwich filling. So instead I used icing sugar and  butter and made a  delicious frosting.
Finally I decorated it with raspberries on the top.
